I recommend this app without reservations. It works very well on my iPad 4, with no perceptible lags and with no bugs, providing many options for ones flight sim setup. Any real ideas? The screens that have been mentioned to me were 6 x 24 inch. This app easily and quickly connects with the new Aerowinx PSX 747-400 PC/Mac based professional flight simulator. I haven't been given a price range but obviously cheaper the better. I'm happy enough putting together a build that I think may be perfectly happy to do all this, I'm thinking Intel based something or another with AMD cards in crossfire as I believe this is the only way to run 6 screens? I'm not too familiar with Nvidia cards anyway but from what I could tell 4 was their max? I would just like some opinions on what would definitely work and be relatively futureproof. Do not use Retina resolutions.ĭual-core or multi-core microprocessor, running at 2.5 GHz or higher.Ī keyboard, ideally one that includes a numeric keypad.Īccess to a DVD drive is required for the initial installation.įrom my side it's more having a PC with the graphics grunt to be able to run the 6 screens of various sizes, they literally want something like the picture on this page, - there is also the possibility this will be used for microsoft flight simulator X, which I believe needs a pretty hefty PC? Undersized monitors can be used as well-for example, to display certain small flight deck sections on networked monitors-, but the instructor screen will then be cropped, and should then be displayed on a second, suitable monitor. (PDF readers are also available in the Internet.)Ī monitor with at least 800 x 800 pixels.

I have made it pretty clear that a 6 screen built PC isn't going to happen but getting a PC capable of running 6 screens and buying the additional screens after is. I've been asked to price up either a ready made or something I can build PC that is capable of running a flight simulator for a 747-400 named Aerowinx for a family business that is involved in training pilots.
